Super Pit Scenic Flights
Situated at the Kalgoorlie Boulder airport, on the Eastern side is Goldfields Air Services’ Flight School. Join us for a short scenic flight which offers the best view over the Super Pit and the stunning desert landscape.
The Super Pit is the largest open cut gold mine in Australia and the 10th largest gold producer in the world.
For those wanting to see more of the surrounding area we have a flight that includes all the sights of the Super Pit but also heads to Kambalda and Lake Lefroy. As well as all the sights of Kalgoorlie and the super pit you will also see the Arid Woodlands (The Worlds Largest Forrest) and the Salt Lakes as you have never seen them before.
Our experienced and professional pilots operate personalised flights when and as required. You and your friends will fly in one of our Cessna 172 aircraft so you can capture the best pictures for your holiday album.
Other points of interest that you will see during your scenic flight are:
Goldfields Water Supply Scheme which is a pipeline delivering fresh water to the Eastern Goldfields, particularly Coogardie and Kalgoorlie
Town Centre / Hannan St. Hannan Street was named after Paddy Hannan (one of the Town’s founders) and is Kalgoorlie’s main street.
Mount Charllotte, an underground mine which is accessed via the northern end of the Super Pit. The decline travels 1300m below the surface.

The Lake Lefroy flight is
$250pp (min 2 adults)
$150ea for children < 15 yrs
